High non-linear fiber with shifted dispersion HNLF DS
Its zero-dispersion wavelength is shifted into the 1480–1565 nm range (versus above 2300 nm for standard HNLF), putting it near-zero right at 1550 nm — the wavelength most nonlinear-optics experiments and telecom sources operate at.
Dispersion at 1550 nm is close to zero, specified as ±4 ps/nm/km.
Common uses include supercontinuum generation and parametric wavelength conversion, both of which benefit from operating near the zero-dispersion point.
