Aluminum-coated step index multimode silica fibers CCR 1.1 (Low OH)
CCR (core-to-clad ratio) 1.1 means a slightly thicker cladding relative to the core than the CCR 1.06 series. This variant is also offered across a much wider range of core sizes — eight sizes from 100 to 1000 µm, versus three sizes (600–1000 µm) for CCR 1.06.
Low-OH fiber has reduced hydroxyl content in the core, extending usable transmission further into the near-infrared (up to 2200 nm) at the expense of some UV/visible transmission — the opposite trade-off to High-OH fiber.
−196°C to +400°C, with hermetic sealing, chemical resistance, and solderable terminations.
